Movie Matinee

At Bethel Aged Care, we believe that every resident deserves to experience the joy of life and live every moment to the fullest. That’s why we’ve created our weekly Movie Matinee for our residents.

On Movie Matinee, our residents gather in our spacious and comfortable lounge area to watch their favourite films. Our staff is always here to help make sure their time is full of laughter and fun.

Our Movie Matinee are complete with snacks and refreshments, and our staff are always close by to attend to our residents’ requests. We even offer a selection of movies for our residents to choose from.

At Bethel Aged Care, we know that life is full of moments to be celebrated and enjoyed. We want our residents to feel special, to be able to socialise and make friends, and to have an enjoyable time.

Hair Styling

We offer a wide range of hairdressing services to help our residents look and feel their best. We are privileged to have a visiting professional hairdresser, Pina, come to us once a week in our contemporary, custom designed salon.

Pina speaks 6 languages including Italian and Greek, and is always happy to go above and beyond for her clients.

Our salon services offers haircuts, washes, colours, perms, our experienced hairdresser is ready to help our residents achieve the look they desire.

Men’s Shed

Our Men’s Shed is a place for all the men that reside in our home to get together, socialise and have fun! At our Men’s Shed, we provide a safe and comfortable environment for our residents to come together and share their experiences and knowledge. Whether it’s woodworking, gardening, metalworking, or just a cup of tea and a chat, everyone is welcome! Our members can get involved in a variety of activities, from watching DIY tutorials, to creating items. We also offer a range of educational and social activities to help keep members engaged and entertained. At Bethel Aged Care Men’s Shed, we understand the importance of community and friendship, and we strive to create a positive and supportive environment for our residents. We believe in helping our members stay engaged and connected with the world around them.

Pet Therapy

Our Pet Therapy Program is favoured by many! Our program provides our residents with the opportunity to spend time with animals, bringing joy and companionship to those who need it most.

For many of our residents, the companionship of a pet can be incredibly therapeutic. Animals provide warmth and comfort, and help to reduce stress, anxiety and loneliness. Our Pet Therapy Program is designed to encourage engagement, improve mood and stimulate conversation. We have a range of visiting or electronic animals on site, including cats, dogs, birds and bunnies, which have been professionally trained to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Our program is especially beneficial to those suffering from dementia. Studies have shown that animals can help to reduce agitation and wandering, while also providing social and emotional support. The presence of animals has also been known to spark memories, which can be a great source of comfort and joy. At Bethel Aged Care, we believe that pet therapy can have a positive effect on the mental and physical well-being of our residents. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive and enjoyable environment for all those who take part in our program.

Entertainment

At Bethel Aged Care, we believe that life should be celebrated and enjoyed. That’s why we host weekly live entertainment events for our residents. Every week, we invite a visiting entertainer to perform at our facility and provide a happy hour with special event food and drinks. Our live entertainment program provides a great way for our residents to socialise and engage with one another while enjoying music, laughter, and fun.

Not only is it enjoyable, but it also has a great impact on our residents’ mental and physical health. By engaging in social activities, residents enjoy improved mental alertness and physical well-being. At Bethel Aged Care, we strive to create an environment that’s both enjoyable and beneficial for our residents. Our live entertainment program is just one way we do this.

Cultural Club

Hello, Ciao, Geia, Bongu, Zdravo, this is our Cultural Club Program!

We offer a unique opportunity for our residents to connect with one another on a deeper level. Our weekly coffee clubs give our residents the chance to come together to enjoy a cup of coffee and share in conversations that span their native language, culture, and experiences. Our Cultural Club Program provides a great way for our residents to reconnect with their roots and reminisce about their younger years. For many of our residents, it provides a much-needed time of companionship and human connection that helps to keep them engaged and involved in their community. At Bethel Aged Care, we understand the importance of feeling connected to one’s culture and heritage, our Cultural Club Program is designed to help our residents foster these meaningful relationships.
