Choose your care

If you are just starting on your aged care journey, it is important to think about the types of support that you or your loved one needs. As you age, your accommodation needs may change. Some of our residents start out living at home and using our respite accommodation for short periods to give themselves and their carers a break. Whilst there is a place for home care services, there may be a point in time where 24/7 care is required with the benefit of access to new social networks with people from similar backgrounds or people going through similar circumstances. We acknowledge that the decision for permanent care is often made as a result of ongoing deterioration in health or a sudden trigger event.

Care options

At Bethel Aged Care, we provide four main types of care. These are:

Respite Care.
Respite care is a type of care that supports you and your carer by giving you both a short break from your regular care routine. Respite bookings are generally between two and four weeks, however, we are happy to discuss your specific needs. Learn More…

Permanent Care.
Our permanent residential care services provide an ideal home for residents who no longer can remain at home due to a cognitive or mobility disability,  our services are for seniors who need 24-hour assistance with daily living activities. Learn More…

Which care is right for you?

Deciding on which care is right for you or your loved one comes down to understanding their needs at present, and then forecasting into the near future. If a short-term accommodation option is needed, then respite care may be a good choice. Learn More…

If you are seeking something more permanent, where you or your loved one can settle in and start a new phase of their life, then the permanent care option may be the way to go.

Our dementia and palliative care options are tailored for people experiencing dementia or life-limiting illnesses.

An Aged Care Assessment is needed for each person who wishes to access residential aged care. The outcome of the assessment will give you and your chosen aged care provider a clear indication of what type of care is most appropriate.
